Jennifer Jones

Jennifer has been registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society for over 25 years. She has extensive clinical experience in both public and private health care settings, including HeadwayHealth and other private psychological practices, as well as community mental health services.

Jennifer offers evidence-based interventions and strategies to manage a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, pain and insomnia.  Jennifer has a long standing interest in working with individuals experiencing chronic health conditions, and those adjusting to change in their life or their families, due to illness, age-related changes, grief and loss.  Jennifer also has a particular interest in contributing to the team care of those affected by cancer, and offers support and psychological strategies to navigate a new cancer diagnosis, different cancer treatments, and enhance recovery and/or live well alongside health challenges.

Jennifer aims to equip clients with skills and techniques to encourage resilience, work towards their goals, and to enhance their quality of life and general well-being.  Interventions are based on evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and are client-focused and tailored to the individual’s needs.

Jennifer currently provides inpatient services within the rehabilitation team based at Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN) and outpatient service with ICON a the SAN (see below).

Jennifer’s past research interests were in the fields of attachment, anxiety management and trauma.  She is a Medicare Provider and accredited with SAH and APHRA.

Icon Wahroonga is located on Level 2 of the Clark Tower. The Centre is accessed via the main traffic lights on Fox Valley Road.  We recommend you park in the main multi-deck car park – P1. Some designated parking is available for patients on Level 2 of P1.
