Pallavi is a compassionate clinician who is dedicated to creating a nurturing space for those navigating distress in their lives. She recognises the intersection of emotional and physical wellbeing, and combines warmth and empathy with a wealth of therapeutic expertise for a range of life stresses and/or challenges associated with chronic health conditions and/or cancer treatment. Pallavi works collaboratively with her clients to support them to feel empowered and understood, and values the role of humour in navigating life’s toughest moments.
Pallavi is trained in a variety of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Dignity Therapy. She has worked in large public health hospitals with those dealing with complex health issues, in private practice, and within multi-disciplinary cancer care teams alongside a range of health practitioners. Her clinical experience has allowed her to develop and tailor a ‘toolkit’ to strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual, and provide help with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, sexual dysfunction, and body image concerns, as well as the complex dynamics for young families affected by illness.
Pallavi offers comprehensive support throughout each person’s care, and works closely with medical teams to ensure integrated care. She has an understanding of the complexities of illness, physical healing and emotional well-being, making her a trusted ally in the journey toward healing and resilience for individuals and families.
Pallavi has worked as a Clinical Psychologist for nearly ten years having completed her Undergraduate Bachelor of Science (Psychology) with Honours at Macquarie University and her Masters of Clinical Psychology at University of Wollongong. She is a Medicare Provider and registered with APHRA
Outside of clinical practice, Pallavi juggles raising a cheeky child, two cats, playing netball, with finding the perfect croissant for any occasion.
Pallavi currently provides telehealth services with HeadwayHealth Servies via secure videolink or telephone and a weekly clinic at The Cancer Support Centre, Sydney Adventist Hospital.
